Just wanted to say a quick thanks for this blog. My husband and I have been married a little over 2 years. The beginning was a little bumpy; but we are 100% confident in our love and the greater purpose God has for our marriage. So as I continue to learn to trust God 1st and the God in my husband, I pray that God will continue to bless you and yours on your journey of love, marriage and ministry!

What a great analogy and one I can definitely relate with! You make it a lot easier to understand why it's not only hard to give up control to my husband, but how I am and must be doing the same thing to God. Sin, I wish I could kick you!

I still struggle with this after 2 years, if only it was so simple to let go of control. However, praise the Lord for his grace and mercy.

Thanks for your reminder, it's definitely something I needed and need to continue to work on.

Whew! I believe you just wrote about my fiance and I. I feel the exact same way about Todd driving as you do about your husband driving, and what is sad is that Todd has never given me a reason to not trust him. Unlike you, it was my fiance that affectionately reminded me that my lack of trust in him, reflected on my lack of trust in God. He was right, and it has been a battle since to consistently place my trust in the Lord and not take control. Thank you for the blog! It was very encouraging!
