I really liked the post. The first time I heard about the study you mentioned was from a Colbert Report episode. It's pretty funny, I recommend checking it out. :)

"The position of true strength is not threatened by the strength of others."

Excellent line! Excellent post in general. My husband has been sick for a few months now and logically my next paranoid step in this whole process is to imagine losing him. And my initial question is "Who would I be without him?!" It's really highlighted for me the idea of not wrapping myself in my husband and made me ask myself some hard questions about whether or not I do that. That's just the opposite side of what you were talking about but the whole idea of standing with God and letting him define who you are in every situation or role is so hard. Thanks again for the blog! Miss you! :)

very good post- this is always the problem I have had with feminism. It's important and good but like with movements tend to get so 'riled up' that we start making decisions to spite the nose on our pretty faces.

You raise some really good points. It's highly noticeable the seeming increase in women leaving their marriage for a "better" life. I think you nailed it on some of the causes.
