Just want to let you know– I love your blog! I worked for Revelife this summer and found out about it through them. I’m a college student and share your posts with my friends all the time. I actually read your post on praying expectantly to the freshman Bible Study I lead! They loved it :) (we also read the Bible too, of course). Anyway- your love of the Lord is a great example and I’ve learned a lot / been encouraged by your writing. Thanks so much! I will be praying for your ministry. God Bless, Cecilia

    Sharon,

I came upon…no God steered me to..your blog and I absolutely love it!

Your writing is very upbeat and inspiring. I definitely will share this with my friends.

    Be blessed.

I saw your Bible study in Collegiate Magazine. Anybody who invests in college students is good people by me! So you and your husband are both doing PhDs at Trinity. When grad work drives you both nuts, do you yell at each other in theological German and Aramaic? Part of the ID blurb in Collegiate mentioned something about your interest in your legacy. Can you talk a little about that?

  4. Sharon Says:

Thanks for the shout out, Dave! And no, my husband don’t yell at each other in German and Aramaic–we use Hebrew and Latin. :)

About my bio, it’s actually kind of funny because I didn’t write that. I had sent them a bio that was more up to date (I live in Chicago now) but I guess it got lost and they wrote one for me! Usually they try to tie the bio in to the larger bible study, so I’m betting that it’s related to the larger theme of the study. Hope that is helpful!

    Hey Sharon!

My friend just sent me your blog because she thought you and I had a few things in common– and we certainly do! I just wanted to encourage you and say “thank you” for being actively passionate about giving more meat to women’s ministry. The whole “pedicures for Jesus” stigma (as I like to call it:)) hasn’t exactly challenged women to come to a greater understanding of the magnificence of their Creator whose image they bear. It’s awesome to hear that you are using your gifts and your education to help women grow to a deeper level of faith. I am also working on my PhD (in Theology and Apologetics) and look forward to incorporating what I’m learning into various discipleship ministries– especially student and women’s ministry. Just wanted to say thank you for your passion and your awesome blog! :)

It’s been great to find a kindred spirit out there in cyberland. In the short amount of time I’ve been here, I’ve enjoyed reading sheworships, and plan to stick around. As of today, you’ve even inspired me to start a blog of my own – something I never thought I would get around to doing. Thanks for your thoughtful and insightful posts. Keep up the good work!

Stumbled across your blog and really enjoyed reading some of your posts. I am a pastor also a little north of Chicago. Actually north east of Chicago. Blessings on your marriage and your time in seminary.

Sharon – long-time reader of the blog – we actually attended Summit at the same time for awhile. Just curious to know if you’d be interested in guest-posting on my own? It’s all about the story!

Today I spent several hours reading your weblog posts and it is very interesting for me :) . One of the interesting facts in your weblog posts is that many concepts and ideas you have mentioned as a Christian is the same as what we have in Islam. Have you ever noticed that? Have you ever tried to compare them? What is your viewpoint on ethics based on Islamic references?

Your blog is wonderful. I wonder if there was a way for you to organize your posts by topic? That would make it easier to get more out of the rich depth of your knowledgeable writing. Again thank you! Melody
